Hudson Valley Comedy Fest Benefit Show: An event to raise awareness for the Hudson Valley Comedy Festival.
The 2016 Hudson Valley Comedy Festival is a three day jubilee of comedy that takes place in historic and scenic Kingston, NY and Saugerties, NY- just 2 hours north of NYC and 40 minutes south of Albany. Founded in 2015 by comedian and documentarian, Shannan Hunt, this women and all-volunteer run festival will give upstate New York comedy audiences a chance to attend a mix of stand-up comedy shows, live podcast tapings, comedy film screenings, and workshops.
The festival takes place June 30-July 2nd in various venues. Featuring over 70 stand-up comics, Hari Kondabolu voted one of Brooklyn's funniest funniest 50 people by Brooklyn Magazine, Last Comic Standing's DeAnne Smith, from Adventure's in Babysitting's Keith Coogan, from Viceland's Flophouse David Gborie and host of the TV Guidance Counselor podcast Ken Reid. There are also over 50 funny films by filmmakers from around the world including a few from Hudson Valley!
