At the beginning of each year, we make resolutions to improve ourselves in the coming twelve months. We imagine idealized versions of ourselves—fit as hell in a helicopter, sipping champagne out of a Versace chalice while an artist from Pixar animates you—and hope we have the discipline to stick to our goals.
