Maria Bamford fans REJOICE! The quirky comic is coming to Netflix, and bringing a new series with her. Lady Dynamite is a 13 episode series, described by Netflix as "... occasionally surreal episodes, refracted across multiple periods inspired by the actor-comedian's life, tell the story of a woman who loses – and then finds – her sh*t.". Sign us up.
Bamford, Pam Brady, and Mitch Hurwitz will serve as Executive Producers. Hurwitz is best known as the creator of the acclaimed "Arrested Development" series, which is currently enjoying new life on Netflix. He recently signed a multi-year deal to develop new content for Netflix. Brady, of South Park renown, will also serve as show runner.
Bamford has long been a comedy darling, whose one of a kind stage persona tackles painful, difficult experiences through a series of characters. She recently received the American Comedy Award for Best Club Comic, while appearing on Arrested Development, Louie, and The Kroll Show among others.

It's a stand up special Bamford filmed in her own Los Angeles home, with only her parents in attendance.
