WHY IT'S A PICK:
Comedy with a cause in one of the best dive bars in the city? SOLD.

ABOUT THE SHOW - FROM THE PRODUCER

It's been over a month and water, power, food, even communications are still a mess. We're all still playing phone tag to figure out how our grandparents, uncles, aunts are doing, hearing reports fifth hand and praying every night for the best. We can't do much from here, but we can send as much help as we can to the hands that can do the most good. And also tell jokes. Because laughing during a bleakpocalypse is really the only emotional coping mechanism any of us have ever figured out.

So Bootleg Comedy is teaming up with all Puerto Rican lineup of the funniest blockbuster and up-and-coming comics in New York to put on the hottest show ...a Sunday night in early November has ever seen, and donate as much money as we can to help our friends and family!

100% of our take from ticket sales, raffles, and extra surprises will be donated to Unidos Por Puerto Rico (www.unidosporpuertorico.com), "an initiative brought forth by the First Lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló, in collaboration with the private sector, with the purpose of providing aid and support to those affected in Puerto Rico by the passage of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane María."

There's a two-drink minimum, sales of which go straight to the bar in exchange for the space. Parkside was super generous in helping us out on short notice, and we're grateful for their support.

On Friday, July 14th, we're planting our banner for one-night-only at the world-famous Back Room at Jimmy's No 43, smack dab in Greenwich Village! It wouldn't be a Bootleg without the return of FABULOUS(-ish) PRIZES! Every drink you buy gets you a raffle ticket (your chances of winning go up the MORE you drink?? When else can you say that?). And if you buy a ticket through Eventbrite, you also get a BONUS raffle ticket, right off the bat! (pun intended).
