Saw Her Stand Up There | Thursday Oct 1, 2015  |  7:30PM

about the show - from the producer
"Saw Her Stand Up There" is a monthly all female stand up event at QED featuring NYC’s best lady quipsters. Our goal is to invite women from all walks of life to enjoy the show and stay after for a "Lady Symposium"! This is a great opportunity for ladies in comedy and those that are residents of Astoria to meet up!

In addition to the women's equality discount of 23% off all draft beer and wine for those that ID as women, I will also donate any profit from this show (after the venue gets their cut) to Planned Parenthood. #standwithPP

*Line-up subject to change

Past performers have included Sasheer Zamata, Michelle Wolf, Jess Klein, Sara Schaefer, Phoebe Robinson, and, Jamie Lee. Join us for the show and stay after for the "Lady Symposium"! This is a great opportunity for ladies in comedy and those that are residents of Astoria to meet up

about the show - from the producer
This month, D&P presents proud premieres of pros' works in progress. More than just an opportunity to indulge Jackie Jax's alliteration affinity, this show will be a chance to see professional comics launching new material on the topics most people don't want to talk about. We're all works in progress. These guys make that journey hilarious.

Depression, Disabilities, Drug Addiction, Suicide? It's OK, you can laugh at that.

about the show - from the producer
Most of us have some kind of "damage:” things we keep hidden for a range of reasons. Talking about it can be hard enough; but getting people comfortable with listening to and laughing about it - how do you do all that? That’s what Damaged & Proud seeks to answer. Each month we'll have performances from comedians who found comedy in the uncomfortable, and then talk to them about their process for getting there. Depression, drug addiction, disabilities, suicide? It's OK. You can laugh at that.

This month, holy crap, we'll be getting laughs and lessons from one amazing line-up:
